The focus of this workshop is on the process of using art as a mindfulness practice and not as a product outcome. Incorporating mindfulness while creating art encourages using all your senses to be aware of what’s happening in the moment, noticing your breath, and acknowledging any emotions or thoughts that arise. Creating without judgement and following your creative impulses without a destination in mind will be explored. This workshop can help you get over the fear of creating and will open your brain to the creative process so you can be more mindful of the journey versus the outcome.
Art as a mindfulness tool will help you build a sense of acceptance, relaxation, and awareness. Through the use of regular mindfulness practices you will likely feel more energized creatively and your completed works of art may take on a new look!
